The Arts at Center for Spiritual Living (CSL) proudly presents Upside Down, a daring new musical comedy with music and lyrics by Al Tapper and book by Tony Sportiello. Premiering Off-Broadway in March 2025, the show now makes its first appearance outside New York City right here in Fort Lauderdale, offering audiences a witty and thought-provoking twist on love and society.

Set in a universe where everyone is presumed gay at birth, Upside Down follows the groundbreaking journey of a man and woman who fall in love against societal norms. With women dominating politics, business, and the military, heterosexual love is taboo—until a bold talent agent inspires two composers to write the first “straight” Broadway musical. The result is both hilarious and heartfelt, challenging audiences to rethink assumptions about identity and acceptance.
