Florida School of Holistic Living Opens South Florida Campus

Looking for empowerment and community to support your new year’s resolution for better health? Herbalism workshops and plant medicine classes are now offered through the Florida School of Holistic Living, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that offers classes in Orlando, online, and now in South Florida, covering Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Classes are geared for all levels of experience and interest and offer a variety of topics to empower families toward experiencing greater health through the resources in their garden, kitchen, and backyard.

The team of 12 teachers guiding the school’s programs brings decades of professional botanical experiences to their classes. Several hands-on offerings let you dig in the dirt and make medicine with the plants. Topics include herbalism, Ayurveda, flower essences, and a variety of plant-healing techniques.

Many classes offer Continuing Education Units for Florida licensed Massage Therapists, Dietitians, and Acupuncturists. 2015 classes include Learning Herbs 1-2-3 at Young Circle Park starting January 9, and The Natural Nurse Herbal Medicine Course at Tunie’s Natural Foods starting January 8. The school also coordinates the annual Florida Herbal Conference.
