ToyTrader of South Florida: A Smarter Way to Share, Save, and Sustain

Families across South Florida are embracing a new way to declutter and give back, thanks to ToyTrader—a community-driven initiative redefining how parents manage outgrown toys, clothes, and gear.  Founded by Julie Janides, ToyTrader promotes a cash-free, circular economy through its mobile app and swap events, helping families exchange pre-loved items using Zennies, the platform’s in-app currency.

More than a marketplace, ToyTrader is a movement. It offers a safe, local, and transparent way for families to declutter, connect, and give items a second life. The initiative responds to real parenting challenges—tight budgets, fast-changing needs, and the desire for sustainable alternatives to traditional resale.

You’re invited to the next ToyTrader Toy Swap on Friday, November 21 from 5:30–7:30pm, to be held at the Edgewood Clubhouse, 1790 SW 32 St, Fort Lauderdale, 33315. Bring your gently used toys and gear, earn Zennies, and discover new treasures—all while connecting with fellow families and keeping toys out of the landfill.

At its core, ToyTrader is about more than reuse—it’s about connection, relief, and joy. Small swaps are making a big difference—one toy, one swap, one Zennie at a time. For additional info contact
