SQUARE/LOGO & BANNER IMAGES

This Professional TIP covers the importance and instructions for uploading two images:  a square image and a wide banner image. Before any images are uploaded, there are default images that fill these two spaces.
At the top of individual Premium Listings, there is allotted space for these two images : The square image (logo/ photo) and a wide banner-type image which is in the background of your Business Name and Contact Info.

To add images to your Premium Listing, generate the correct sized image (see below instructions) on your computer. These images will be uploaded to your online Media Library. You may then choose from any image in your Media Library for these purposes.

DESIGN IMAGE TIPS:
1) THE SQUARE IMAGE:
Advertisers will either place their company logo in this location or upload a headshot, depending on how they market/promote their business.  The recommended image size for uploading to the Media Library is 175 x 175 pixels.  Select either 72 or 144 pixels per inch. Advertisers will generally use the same image they have for their in-print Natural Awakenings Directory listing but convert to an RGB file (Red Green Blue mode) before uploading to their online Premium Listing. 

Optionally, advertisers include a border around their SQUARE image to have it stand out against the wide background image. 

2) THE WIDE BANNER BACKGROUND IMAGE (referred to as a "Hero" Image online):
Advertisers that have a website select an image that best supports their mission statement and ties into the products and services they provide to the community. The recommended image size for uploading is 1110 x 300 pixels.  Select either 72 or 144 pixels per inch.  In inches, the Banner is 10" wide by 2.7" high.  
Since the Basic Business information is layered in front of the background Banner image, and part of that area is for the SQUARE image, advertisers will take that into consideration when they are deciding how to best fill that area.  See preset/default example below if no images are uploaded and applied:

Information that is layered in WHITE text in front of the background banner:
1) Professional Name/Name of Person Associated with Business (optional and placed in bold. The name will be placed first in a larger text size if entered - forcing the Business Name to be a smaller text as the second item)
1 or 2) Name of Business (note: if no Professional Name is entered Name of Business will then be the first item, in bold & a larger text size)
Below the Business Name:
Phone number (placed in smaller font size, as the website URL) (active link)
Website Address (active link)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Since the default is a WHITE text for the items listed above (Business Name, etc.), if your BANNER image has a white background, the program will automatically change that to a light gray for the Business information in WHITE text to correctly show. Therefore, you may want to select a background color for contrast before uploading. 

UPLOADING YOUR IMAGES TO THE MEDIA LIBRARY — for use as a banner image, your square logo area, and your photo gallery.
Login using your email as your username, consider clicking the "remember me" if you are on a secured computer so you don't need to login each time. 

FOR YOUR LOGO AND BANNER IMAGES:
Sequence: From BOTTOM of the browser screen click on Manage, scroll up choose Business Listing. In next window, choose Manage.
Review the Business Basics section.  To upload your images to the Media Library, click the gray button: "+Logo Image" or "+Hero Image."  Click Green button: "Browse Files" (select image(s) you want to upload from your hard drive. When this process is complete, click the checkmark to the right of the image you want to select, click on the blue button: "Place Image."  To save your work: Click BLUE BUTTON: "SAVE."
Repeat process to place the other image.

TO REVIEW YOUR UPDATES:
Click the BLUE SAVE BUTTON. To see how your PREMIUM listing will looks to the public, click on your company name (in large blue lettering toward the top of the page).  If you like, you may make further adjustments, as necessary, by modifying your images on your computer and uploading the newer image.

Sequence: Signed in, and managing your listing, from the list of BLUE links on the left side of your page click on the blue GALLERY & VIDEO link.  

To upload your images to the Media Library, click the gray button: "+ Select & Reorder Images."  Next, Click Green button: "Browse Files" (select image(s) you want to upload from your hard drive. When this process is complete, click the checkmark to the right of the image(s) you want to select, click on the blue button: "Place Images."  To save your work: Click BLUE BUTTON: "SAVE."
Repeat process to place additional images.

Image Sizes & Notes - Actual sizes will vary based on viewport

Business Listing Logo - Scaled to fit (i.e. will not crop) 175px x175px

Business Listing Hero (Banner) - Scaled to 1110x300px

Gallery Image - Scaled to fit (i.e. will not crop) 1000x600px

Calendar - Scaled to 1110x500px

Featured Event Snippet - Scaled to 600x400px (full image will be shown on event page)

Non-Featured Event Snippet - Scaled to 300x200px (full image will be shown on event page)

Offers - Scaled to fit (i.e. will not crop) 400x225px

BUSINESS DIRECTORY
LIST OF BUSINESSES (resources):

Health and wellness resources on our website are found through the Business Directory link (green menu at the top of our website pages). That alphabetical list organizes the PREMIUM Listings.  Following the Premium Listings are the basic Free "Express" Listings, which appear without a logo.
The following information is available for placement (in the following order):
1) Name of Business (a blue color, as it's an active hyperlink to your Premium Listing and bolded, a larger font (text size) for emphasis).
2) Address
3) Phone Number
4) The Business' SQUARE Image (if uploaded). 

Clicking on the Name of the Business takes the viewer to the Business' online Listing page.
