World Tai Chi Day at Ingalls Park

World Tai Chi-Chi Kung Day has been celebrated for 12 years in Broward County by thousands of participating teachers, students and interested parties, some who had never before seen demonstrations and teachings. Many come away learning that you don’t have to know anything about it to have a great experience. It is a World Peace Day. Enjoy being at one with thousands of participants in over 50 countries all over the world. Enhance your connection to an energy force the Chinese call ‘chi’ or ‘qi’.

Qigong or Chi Kung is the source of the study of the better known Tai Chi or Taiji (variations in spelling arise from the changes in writing Chinese into English over the years). Building health and/or martial art movements are examples of a lifelong study of ‘Tao’ philosophy.

Local groups and observers will meet on Saturday, April 27, with the Opening Ceremony at 9:45 a.m., and event from 10 a.m. to Noon, at Ingalls Park, east of I-95 and south of Hallandale Beach Boulevard, at Southwest 8th Avenue, Hallandale, 954-457-1450. Peace is sent worldwide via all who join with their intentions to do so. Good parking. Rain or Shine, there is a lovely shelter.
