At Divine Love Institute™ it has always been the mission of the co-founders, Shihans Nancy Duke and Nancy Livingston, to bring Reiki back to its original roots. Fueled with a burning desire and curiosity, they began a journey to discover the original essence of Reiki.
They began with Jikiden Reiki and studied with Arjarva Petter. A powerful healing technique, Jikiden means “directly handed down without translation,” and has a Japanese lineage. Duke and Livingston then re-certified and now teach Usui/Holy Fire and Karuna Reiki® offered by the ICRT.
Opportunity arose to attend Gendai Reiki Ho Gokuikaiden training, a Japanese lineage through Hiroshi Doi, and the modern version of Usui Reiki Ryoho. The duo then completed the year with Komyo Reiki Kai, also a Japanese lineage. This is the spiritual practice of letting go of attachment. They joined a Japanese delegation in Boston during filming of a documentary about Hyakuten Inomoto, a Japanese monk who founded Komyo Reiki Kai.
It has been quite the year for Divine Love Institute. Their gratefulness for these teachings have evolved into a wealth of sacred knowledge and experience, reflected in workshops, certifications and sessions.
