Master Jennifer Yu presents Happy Tai Chi, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., on November 28, at the FAU campus, in Boca Raton. Optional instructor training available 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on December 2. This part of her international tour is initiated by Yu and her nonprofit Yu School to fight the growing epidemics of stress, anxiety, depression, chronic pain and addiction in our modern society.
Yu started her Tai Chi journey 30 years ago with Peking University’s championship martial art team. Immigrating to the U.S. in 1989, she has personally taught tens-of-thousands of students from every continent, ages 6 to 100.
Happy Tai Chi is a new happiness program that makes it much easier and effective for modern people to reduce stress and get to their ‘happy’ state at a neural level. Plug it into your busy life as a mindset, dietary guide, meditation, exercise and/or a lifestyle as you see fit. Its insights and tips are easy and useful for any schedule, condition and situation and can be universally applied to health, relationships, business and worldly affairs.
Hosted by FAU’s Student Government as a highlight of their Stress Less Week, the seminar is open to all.
Cost: Free to FAU faculty and students. Discounts for teachers and seniors. Info and reservations, 561-320-1120 or HappyTaiChi.org. See ad page 19.
