New Community Garden Project

The Fruitful Field, Inc., located at Parkway United Methodist Church (UMC), Deerfield Beach, is proud to announce the expansion of operations with a new campus and organic vegetable grow site at Cokesbury United Methodist Church in Margate. Vegetable crops and fruit trees will be planted on unused lawn space surrounding the Cokesbury property, furthering the non-profit mission of The Fruitful Field (TFF) using organic methods.

The goal is to install approximately one-quarter acre of organic vegetable garden space with low volume drip irrigation systems. Additionally, assorted tropical fruit trees will be added to support wildlife habitat. TFF’s mission statement declares, “The Fruitful Field seeks God’s peace and wholeness by caring for the Earth, sharing with those in need, and fostering spiritual health. We model creative and sustainable use of land, provide dynamic hands-on learning opportunities for all ages, and build healthy relationships with the local community and beyond.”
