Meditation, mindfulness and an improved mind-body connection have been shown to be valuable interventions for the reduction of symptoms and stress associated with multiple sclerosis (MS).
MS can put individuals at a higher risk of stress, anxiety, fatigue, pain and depression. Increased stress worsens the course of the disease and has been associated with relapses. With overwhelming evidence demonstrating the benefits of mindfulness meditation, the MS Society is supporting its members by offering financial assistance in funding their participation in the six-week Mindfulness, Meditation and Movement (MMM) Program at Weston Yoga.
The MMM Training Special MS Society Program will be held 2 to 3:30pm, every Tuesday, from November 10 through December 15. Instructor, Linda Janasz, is a researcher, transformational coach, keynote speaker, journalist, yoga teacher (RYT 200), holds a Ph.D., and is the developer of the MMM program that has helped thousands of individuals balance in an unbalanced world.
Attend the trial class and info session 2 to 3:30pm, November 3. Financial assistance available through National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
