Life, Career and Equine Coaching

Oliver Wendell Holmes captured a heartfelt connection in his quote: “To many, the words love, hope and dreams are synonymous with horses.”
Horses have played a critical role in human development since 4000 B.C. We relied on them for carrying us into battle, helping us work the land, and more recently before automobiles as transportation vehicles.

Horses continue to play a pivotal role in some of our lives, mostly in competitive sports and pleasure endeavors. We see them as strong, powerful and beautiful. However, we have become more self-aware to acknowledge that the horse’s role has evolved into healer, teacher and guide.

Horses mirror our inner landscape and are non-judgmental. They can teach us the impact of electromagnetic fields, how to set healthy boundaries and clearly communicate. They can bring awareness and thus act as great coaching collaborators.
A new form of coaching with horses, Equine Facilitated Learning and Coaching (EFLC) is an experiential way of coaching clients while they interact with equine partners. EFLC modalities are mostly from the ground as opposed to mounted riding, and focus on exploring new, authentic ways of working and living in harmony with each client’s heart desire.
Dovecot Farm, in Loxahatchee, provides a safe space for self-discovery and transformation. This equestrian retreat offers personal development and leadership programs for individuals and groups, incorporating a combination of leadership, mindfulness and EFLC.
