The Hypoglycemia Support Foundation (HSF) celebrates its 33rd year at their 3rd Annual Hypoglycemia Takes Center Stage Gala “Casino Royale” fundraiser which will be held at the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six in Fort Lauderdale, Oct. 19, 7 pm. Tickets for the event are $150 and sponsorship opportunities are available. This exciting, fun-filled evening will begin with a cocktail reception, silent auction and tribute ceremony. Trina Robinson from NBC 6 will host the event.
President of HSF, Roberta Ruggiero has lived her life with passion, purpose, and perseverance, and founded the organization to help people better understand and cope with hypoglycemia. HSF’s mission is to be the world-renowned leader in disseminating information and offering encouragement and hope to those suffering from hypoglycemia—a confusing, complicated, and too often misunderstood condition. An estimated 80 million Americans have hypoglycemia and most don’t even know it.
Hypoglycemia symptoms may include: anxiety, depression, unmanageable mood swings, aggressive behavior, panic attacks, cold sweats, dizziness or tremors, trouble thinking, blurred vision, headaches or forgetfulness. HSF provides support, advocacy and information about the causes, prevention and management of functional hypoglycemia (low blood sugar).
