Florida residents no longer need to travel across the country to receive highly authoritative training in yoga and Ayurveda. Nestled within a 4.5-acre log cabin retreat in Tampa, The Lotus Pond Center for Yoga and Health offers a full-service facility that has been graduating teachers since 2006.
The Lotus Pond offers four Yoga Alliance registered teacher training (YTT) programs annually. Onsite Ayurveda training prepares students to become licensed practitioners of yoga’s 5,000-year-old science of health.
YTT students deeply explore all aspects of yoga and participate in intensives with some of the nation’s leading master teachers. Balance and Bliss Academy of Ayurveda students learn classical and clinical Ayurveda concepts, embracing holistic methods that balance body and mind for optimal health.
“Significant roots of yoga and Ayurveda are overlooked in some training programs,” says owner and Director Val Spies. “What sets us apart is our emphasis on helping students integrate those roots into their lives, from the philosophy, psychology and anatomy aspects to its therapeutic value.”
The center’s students applaud this difference. “This is the best thing I have ever done for myself,” says Steve, a recent graduate. Location: 6201 Lynn Rd., Tampa Florida. New sessions begin in January 2013. For more information, call 813-961-3160 or visit LotusPondYoga.com. See ad page 31
